Should Christians Celebrate Halloween?

I want to talk today about a very controversial topic that has been debated for centuries, or so I think: Should we as Christians celebrate Halloween or not? The above video is my thoughts in summary concerning the subject: I do believe that we can go to Horror night events and preach the gospel and spread the Kingdom of God at these events, but not necessarily dress up or act like we endorse the celebration of the holiday. Others object and say, “But the Catholics took it over,” but you cannot like this video posted recently stated, change the laws in the spirit world. You cannot change a satanic holiday and expect that everything is going to be okay when the Bible forbids such celebrations.

The Bible itself says that we shouldn’t worship the Lord our God in the same way that other nations worship their gods (Deuteronomy 12:4). There are so many other arguments against this in Scripture that if you are lukewarm, you will miss. Perhaps you study the Scriptures day in and day out. That is not enough to say that you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Perhaps you pray and ask God to give you a sermon to study for your next Church service. You are only accessing the power of God in times of need. Perhaps you fast, but you don’t consult God in everything. You are still not fully surrendered to the Lord our God like you should be and therein lies the problem. I am not trying to judge anyone’s condition but simply saying that we must conform our oppinions to the Bible, not the Bible to our oppinions. We also cannot conform to culture’s ways of thinking (Proverbs 3:5-have; Romans 12:2).

There are so many other videos out there that talk about this subject. The one that I linked to above from Cloud and the Fire Ministry is the best by far, but I have another example: Hannah Williamson gives another take on this just by reading the origins from (I think). Isaiah Saldivar has a similar take from that of the video from the Cloud And The Fire Ministry’s video linked above. John Ramirez Ministries also has a video that is 9 minutes and 50 seconds long explaining why we shouldn’t celebrate Halloween from a former Satanic High Priest’s perspective. Also, for those that watched the video from The Cloud and The Fire Ministry, here is her testimony so you will know where she’s coming from. This is just a part of her testimony, which I forgot to mention. Here also is her full Testimony to Jesus from Witchcraft, The Occult, Divination, and Spiritual Attacks.

Now let’s go back to our videos. This next video is to watch and discuss with your kids: Mommy, Why Don’t We Celebrate Halloween? Someone in the comments said that they had to tell their kids also why they don’t even celebrate the Harvest Festivals. From what I’ve researched, both Halloween and Harvest Festivals are synonymous to each other. So, I am going to give an alternative, one that I’ve given in the above link on my thoughts concerning the subject, which I will again post here.

Perhaps you may have a differing oppinion about the Harvest Festivals, but let’s err on the side of caution (at least I will, but I encourage you to do your own research on its origins and pray about if the Lord would have you celebrate this festival with your family). “What is the alternative,” you may ask? It is Reformation Day, which the video I just linked to tells you the origins of (I understand that the Catholics may not like this idea, and on that note I encourage you to pray and ask the Lord for the best way to conduct yourselves on this day or if you should just do your usual tasks, but no matter how you put it, Halloween is not for the Christian).

Before Halloween, I encourage you to read (or listen to) spiritual warfare books. I will put as many resources on here as I can, but the rest of the research is up to you. I have read at least 3 times (speaking from my memmory) Unmasking The Devil by John Ramirez, which you can find the audiobook of here. You can find the printed copy at your local bookstores, at Amazon, or (if you have Apple) on Apple books. There are a myriad of ways in which you can obtain this book in your hands if you wish to read it yourself and not listen to the audio (although I will say that I encourage everyone who has a smart TV to at some time or another read the book if you wish to as you listen to the audiobook because of the way it is narrated). It is amazing (this book’s audio was put out by a YouTube channel called Virtual Entertainment, but I can say of a surety that this isn’t mere “entertainment,” but education for you to be able to do spiritual warfare).

I encourage you to do some research concerning puting on the full armor of God. Isaiah Saldivar also has a podcast which you can find wherever you get your podcasts, but if you only listen to YouTube, his Channel is located at this link. Jennifer LeClaire has many books and podcasts that can help you in your spiritual walk in general, but if you wish to buy her books, for the time being you need to focus only on spiritual wstfare. “Why are you focusing on spiritual warfare so much?” you might ask. Well, it is because Halloween is one of Satan’s favorite holidays. I believe that Christians should be spending their time on this day either preaching the Gospel to nonchristians and doing the works of ministry, or praying and fasting concerning the evil spirits that are unleashed on this day and November 1st. This is all that I have to say on the subject of celebrating Halloween. I understand that this will be offensive to some if not all people, but I must tell you the truth. When I made the above video, my friend (whose favorite holiday is Halloween) wanted me to change some things concerning the video. I thought to do this at the time, and I did somewhat in the description, simply saying, “I respect your right to celebrate Halloween,” and of course I’m paraphrazing. However, as we discussed over the phone I thought that I’d be okay in saying that you could name your profile something of the affect if you wanted to protect your identity but discovered the Lord wouldn’t give me the go-ahead by giving me peace in this area. I may have mentioned something of the affect but I still believe that this holiday is evil, regardless of what any man in this earth (even some if not most of my family members) have to say concerning the subject matter. I understand that I sound hard, but I cannot and will not compromise the truth for anyone because the truth is the truth.

I will be praying for you as you journey to learn more about the truth, and again I respect everyone’s reasoning for doing what they do. However, I’m not going to drown in the quick-sand with you. Even if you give out the candy to the little children because, “I don’t want to turn the kids away,” you are still partaking of the evil practices in this holiday. I never realized before today how evil “trick-or-treat” was, but I no longer endorse it and wish someone had told me this stuff when I was a little child. Parents, now that you know the truth, you are obligated by the Word of God to tell the same to your children (if you have chosen to side with the truth). However, I must ask you the same question that Joshua asked the children of Israel. Who will you serve? As for me and my house, I will serve the Lord (Joshua 24:15; Proverbs 22:6). I may be the only one in my “house” that understands the seriousness and severity of this holiday, but I’m believing in faith that my family will come around and that we will be “serve the Lord” 100 percent and not just half-heartedly, chosing to believe what we want to or do what we want to with certain aspects of certain holidays; for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Samuel 15:23). I love every person that reads this blog and this is why I must tell you the truth; for it says in Scripture that we must not hate our brother in our hearts and suffer sin because of him (Leviticus 19:17). God bless!
