Many people want to know what it takes to become successful in their life, marriage, business, ministry, you name it. Many turn to self-help gurus and even today within the Christian church many turn to other places to find out how to become a successful church planter.
While it is okay to ask advice and learn from other people, I have a proposition for you that may help even more. “What is it?” you say. Well, stick around, because that is what this blog is about. This is my testimony. No! I don’t have $1 billion dollars to my name, but I am a Christian and my God’s definition of success is much different than your definition of success. He says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts and My ways are not your ways.” (Isaiah 55).
My goal isn’t to detail per se what it means to succeeed (although it doesn’t have to do with numbers but rather God calls us to be faithful to Him), but to show you how I succeeed in life. I want to back up from the pivotal thing that has helped me for just a minute and start with the small things.
Deliverance/Exorcism
Back in 2021, I started watching Isaiah Saldivar’s videos upon being introduced to him through Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural! I then through his podcast was introduced to Dr. Bob Larson who is a Protestant exorcist (in Christendom, there are different denominations and sects. The two movements per se if you’ll call it that (I can’t find the language right now), are Catholicism and Protestantism (hence the Protestant reformation with Martin Luther that you may have heard about).
After some time of listening to Dr. Larson’s videos, I enrolled in the International School of Exorcism (just giving a backstory) and the Advanced Academy of Deliverance. They also have an organization which I’ve mentioned previously called Do What Jesus Did and our regional director recommended that I do with my Grandpa/Pastor some curse breaking once a week (or however often is needed), and upon that advice, I began this endeavor. Believe it or not, I couldn’t get myself to serve my Lord wholeheartedly and so these prayers helped me to do this (there is nothing magical in praying but I was then able to more freely worship my Lord).
After this, I began the process of seeking more personalized inner healing and deliverance, which I won’t go into detail about here but suffice it to say, it has helped.
Then came July 9th. My Grandpa/Pastor was walking when he called me and in tears said something like, “I feel like the Lord wanted me to call you and tell you that today is your day to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost.” I testify to how I received it on my YouTube channel and explain more about it here, but suffice it to say, I was able to pray in tongues (for the Christian reading this, read 1 Corinthians 12-14 concerning the spiritual gifts; read specifically chapter 14 about “praying with my spirit and praying with my understanding”).
This gift is found in chapter 2 of Acts about the disciples (now apostles) being baptized in the Holy Spirit and “speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” This, my friend, is how I am successful in sermon prep and delivery (in some ways ow delivery). In other words, I pray in the Spirit as I read the Scriptures I am to teach on and ask the Lord every would say to the people, and He never fails to give me a point.
The Bible commands us to meditate day and night and that the Christian is to delight in the law of the Lord and meditate therein day and night (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:2). I have heard from one minister and can testify personally that as we use our personal prayer language, God will help us fulfill the command. I can only testify of that which I’ve experienced, so I encourage you to chew on this and think about it as it pertains to your line of work: parenting, plumbing, being a doctor, coaching, you name it.
If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and/or would like to obtain freedom, pray this prayer. At the end when you ask the Lord to baptize you in the Holy Spirit, before you end the prayer, say, “Lord, I also ask that You would help me to push past any analyzing that my mind would do to try and prevent me from receiving my prayer language.” And then, end the prayer and say, “Hallelujah,” or something that you don’t have to think about until you receive the cylables (when you do, say the cylables out loud and push past your intellect’s opposition). Then you will be able to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit and be empowered for the work to which He has called you.
My goal is to help you obtain victory in every area of your life. Therefore, I want more people to receive the same blessings from God as I have in being able to succeeed right where I’m at. God bless and please comment below how this has helped you!
