I want to discuss with you today a prayer which we prayed last Sunday. I don’t think I mentioned this last time, but this is a modified prayer but the original was written by Dr. Bob Larson, which I will now write so you can see what I mean:
Heavenly Father, as an act of my will, I submit to Your name and Lordship over my life. Forgive all of my sins, even as I forgive those who sinned against me. Satan, I bind you this day in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By the authority I have in Jesus Christ, I rebuke and destroy the power of every ancestral curse directed against me. I break any and all Vows, oaths, blood covenants, rituals and ceremonies.
I renounce sorcery, witchcraft, false gods, false religion, and all curses of death, destruction, suicide, Murder, violence, Abandonment, rejection, perversion, infirmity and disease. I declare this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Here now is the modified version:
Father, I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that You raised Jesus from the dead. I now call You my Lord and Savior. Forgive all of my sins, even as I forgive those who have sinned against me. Satan, I bind you this day in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By the authority I have in Jesus Christ, I rebuke and destroy the power of every ancestral curse directed against me. I break any and all Vows, oaths, blood covenants, rituals and ceremonies.
I renounce sorcery, witchcraft, false gods, false religion, and all curses of death, destruction, suicide, Murder, violence, Abandonment, rejection, perversion, infirmity, and disease. I declare this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. In so doing, I now ask that You would baptize me in the Holy Spirit and fire, sealing our intimate relationship forever and ever. Amen.
—End of prayer
My reasoning for writing this is honor. I forgot to mention this previously, but Dr. Bob Larson wrote the original prayer and I had modified it as you see here. My purpose in writing is so that I don’t have to use too much time on the podcast to try and explain this every time before the actual teaching segment of the podcast. God bless!
Disclaimer: I obtained permission through a process to use this prayer, so I want to ask you kindly because again of honor to obtain permission to use the original prayer from Dr. Larson. Even the modified version is not mine to give, since it originated from Dr. Larson’s writing of the prayer.
They said I don’t have to worry about copyright, but I do all of this to give credit where credit is due.
