Chaotic America And Where She Is At

Hello everyone! I will be commenting on an article put out by Franklin Grahm called, America In Chaos: How Did We Get Here. I want us to consider this in depth and also consider the prophetic utterances which God spoke forth through His prophets.

He begins by informing us of the looting and protests that happened in Seattle, Oakland, California, Portland, Oregon, Milwakee, Austin, Texas, Aurora, Colorado, The Suburbs of Washington, D.C. Minneapolis.

The paragraph that struck me is when he says, “In Minneapolis, the city where BGEA had its offices for decades and where George Floyd died in police custody, officials are considering dismantling the police department. Rioters inexplicably burned an apartment building that would have provided affordable housing for 190 families. That city reminds me of the Wild West–armed men are patrolling their own neighborhoods because law and order have broken down.”

Here’s why this struck me. As you see, I italicized where dismantling the police was mentioned. This is because of this movie I watched a little over 4 years ago. I don’t think that this movie uses the Lord’s name in vain because even though I was not as grown in the Word as I am now (not braging), I was very sensitive to things that do that, but I’m not sure. If you are afraid just watching the Trailer, how do you think it will be if you who support this when you get your way. Will you be looking over your shoulder? Afraid? Wondering if someone’s gonna murder you? Selah!

The article continues, “In cities across our land, courthouses, statues and even churches have been desecrated with crass and vulgar graffiti. One federal agent in Portland said the scene downtown reminds him of wartime Baghdad.

Protests are not inherently bad–our nation was founded on a protest, of course. I can understand why some of our citizens feel -pelled to march in the streets and demand racial, political and economic justice. The First Amendment to the Constitution guarantees the ×right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.∘

Peaceably is the key word. A peaceable assembly should not be used as a cover for mad anarchists, looting gangs or organized agitators.”

Psalms 11:3-4, TPT, says, “What can the righteous accomplish when truth’s pillars are destroyed and law and order collapse? Yet the Eternal One is never shaken–he is still found in his temple of holiness, reigning as Lord and King over all. He is closely watching everything that happens. And with a glance, his eyes examine every heart. For his heavenly rule will prevail over all.” This is a good reminder, especially considering the elections of today. Verse 3 of this passage is the key question. Truth’s pillars have been destroyed in this nation, and this is why we are in the mess we are in. Also, John Kilpatrick said that we won’t get a Joe Biden unless “the country becomes a Joe Biden.” These are my thoughts concerning the above quoted statement from Franklin Grahm.

He continues, “I think what we are seeing today is a problem with authority. The Bible warns us about those who ×despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries∘ (2 Peter 2:10).”

I think that it all goes back to law and order’s collapse. The reason why I link to the prophets in these articles is because the Word says that God does nothing unless He reveals it to His servants the prophets (Amos 3:7).

He continues, “The Apostle Paul says in Romans 13:1-6 that God expects us to be good citizens: ×Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.

×D you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing.∘

Still, there are limits to the government’s authority (see John MacArthur’s statement here or the full statement here). When the government tries to exceede the scope of its authority, we should say, as the apostles did, ×We ought to obey God rather than men∘ (Acts 5:29).

I agree. For those of you that think we ought not to push back when the government tells us to do something that is contrary to what our Lord Himself commanded, I ask you this: Read the whole of the Gospels and the book of Acts. What did Jesus and the apostlest do when persecuted? More specifically, what did the Apostles do in the book of Acts when they were told, “Don’t preach in this name ever again?” You have probably like me read this a hundred times, but don’t just think that you know it all. God apposes the proud and gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5). You must re-read Acts and the gosples and consider what I am asking. This is an assignment which I give to you for your own good. Also, click here for more on the topic of how the Bible speaks concerning Religious Liberty.

He continues, “Recently, in places like California, we have seen cases where politicians have tried to restrict how Christians worship. That’s unconstitutional. As good citizens, we should abide by recommendations to protect public health. But at the same time, we need to be on guard against some in government who would exploit this crisis to infringe on the religious liberty guaranteed in the First Amendment.”

I agree. I also in reading John MacArthur’s statement had my eyes opened more as to why we should attend Church and stay open. I believe that there is a reason why the Apostle Paul in Rome made sure his citizenship there was made know to the magistrates who arrested him without trial. I believe there is plenty of evidence that we should do the same. Regardless of how you fell concerning Romans 13, look again at the New Testament as a whole and see how the people of God have reacted to unreasonable and downright unbiblical demands of their Christian citizens.

Franklin says, “What happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis was horrifying, but we should not blame law enforcement personel in general. Almost all of them genuinely seek “to protect and to serve.” Former Portland Police Chief Jami Resch put it this way: ×How do we come together to stop and violence and destruction in our city so we can move forward to identify solutions that can work? How long can we, as a city, endure the extreme disregard for human life and property demonstrated by a small group of individuals? We have to collectively come together to stop those who are holding our city with violence. Every night, we are using all our resources and it is still not enough.∘

“We are at the mercy of a generation that seems to have no respect for God’s standards and no awareness of His redeeming love. One North Carolina policeman describes the streets as a spiritual battlefield. “We work where the devil plays,” he says.

“If we are going to transform our cities, we need a new generation of godly leaders.”

Amen to that! Will you be one? Also, I’m calling for prayer for the police officers, even if you think they are all bad. Pray that your heart is changed toward them and aligned with that of the Father, for their mind, for their spirits, and lastly, for their support system at home. More information is in the article mentioned above.

He says, “On the last Saturday of September, I’m planning to lead a prayer march along the National Mall Park in Washington D.C. Our nation is at a crossroads, and as Christians we need to cry out to the Lord to heal our land. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.”

Please watch the national prayer march which I linked to above and Franklin referenced. I think that we should try and turn toward each of the sites which they will be walking to. This is just my personal oppinion though on the matter. God bless and I hope you have enjoyed this article! Please be ture to put your feedback in the comments below or using the survey I created!

  1. Evil doers need to be destroyed, God put police, Armed Forces in power to execute wrath on those that do evil, most Christians can not handle that, In end times God will destroy all evil doers that follow the (Devil prince of the air) the fear of God needs to be restored, if not evil will win , Remember God laughs at the wicked because he is the HEAD of all principality , it’s all his.
