Introduction Series: Twelve Steps to victory, Part 1

I will begin teaching on Tuesday the 12 Step Program on pride at our church. Therefore, I wanted to give some introductory blogs to this program.

The following sermon is part 1 of a series we did about two months ago called The Twelve Steps to Victory. This series was preached by Pastor Mickey Banks of Preach Unto Them Jesus, founder of Storm Ministries. He used to be an alcoholic and go to AA meetings so he has a special place in his heart for this program.

He has always wanted to communicate these steps in a way that Christians will relate to them as it relates to our walk with Christ. The Lord actually put this burden on his heart to communicate these to others because they are so effective in helping the addicted become sober, etc. The following sermon will discuss these three steps:

  1. We admitted that we were powerless over our problems and that our lives had become unmanageable.
  2. We came to admit that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
  3. We made a decision to turn our wills and our lives over to the care of God.

He uses the Life Recovery Group’s collection of the 12 Steps and Scripture. Here it is. Please consider commenting below how this has helped you and remember to find an accountability partner that will help you in this program. Also, please subscribe below this video so you will be notified when we upload new videos.

Thank you very much for reading this blog and listening to this video. God bless!

My name is Patelin Cogswell. I was born on September 24, 1998. I was born in Oklahoma City. I went to Oklahoma School for the Blind and graduated in 2017. I am called as a Minister of the Gospel and an Intercessor. However, this is not about me. My life is dedicated to making Christ alone. This blog was called kingdomadvance.family.blog because I didn’t want my name on the blog like others do because I feel like it is not me living but Christ living through me.
