The Sower and The Seed: God’s Call to Greater Heights Sermon outline

1. Hearing the Voice of God

A. Matthew 4:3-4

I. The Lord says, “My Son didn’t have to flip through the Torah to find the Scripture He needed to combat the enemy.” The Lord says, “I am calling My people to read Scriptures that they need and in the trying times when the devil hits you the hardest, you can take up the shield of faith with which through My power you will be able to withstand every attack of the evil one.” I hear the Lord saying, “If My people would pray in the Spirit during these trying times, My Spirit will bring to your remembrance the Scriptures you need,” says the Lord.

2. Where Is Wisdom Found

A. Mark 4:1-12

I. The Lord is saying, “When I speak in parables, I am hiding My truth from the hardened of heart and for the one who seeks wisdom. Therefore, O My people, I say: Let the one who is wise discern the word of the Lord.”

3. The Sower

A. Mark 4:13-14

I. The Lord is saying, “Is it not written in My Word that I do nothing unless I show it to My servants the prophets?” says the Lord. The Lord says, “My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me. I will lead the flock in many different ways: the shepherds ofthe Law and the ministers of grace have a common command: to represent My heart to the people as they lead and teach them,” says the Lord. “Therefore,” says the Lord, “it is My Spirit who sows the word in your heart.”

B. John 3:1-12

C. 1 Corinthians 2:6-16

4. A Sure Foundation

A. Mark 4:15

I. The Lord says, “Many times, I give you revelation and then when trials come, the devil steals the revelation I have given you,” says the Lord.

B. Matthew 7:24-27

5. Keeping Ground

A. Mark 4:16-17

I. The Lord says, “It is important that My people begin to devour the Word like never before. It is time to become vigilant about your own freedom. Do not think,” says the Lord, “that you are being selfish when praying to keep ground that you fought so hard for,” says the Lord. The Lord says, “Do not fret, little flock; for it is My good pleasure to take care of you and lead you in the ways of righteousness,” says the Lord. “Do not fear that you are heading in the wrong direction; for this is the spirit of religion and the devil’s most handy trick in hand against My people,” says the Lord.

B. 1 Peter 5:8

I. The Lord says, “The times of complacency and puny prayers are over. The times of warfare have begun,” says the Lord. The Lord says, “One greater than your adversary, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, has triumphed.” The Lord says, “Just like in the days of Ulysees S. Grant in the war against the confederates when the command was given to retreat back to Washington and they went to their intended destination, I am calling My people to turn away from certain opportunities that would derail them from achieving their one objective: to keep ground which they took back from the enemy and therefore let My Spirit rule in their lives without hindrance,” says the Lord.

6. Your Inheritance

A. Mark 4:18-19

I. The Lord says, “In My presence is fullness of joy. I am calling My people to a higher walk with Me,” says the Lord. “Do not find entertainment where the world does,” says the Lord. “Let Me be your posession as I was the posession and inheritance of the Levites in the days of old,” says the Lord.”

7. Be Fruitful

A. Mark 4:20

I. “Be fruitful and multiply,” says the Lord. “I am calling upon My people to meditate upon My Word day and night and come away with Me,” says the Lord. “Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me as you pursue My presence and leading,” says the Lord. The Lord says, “Seek My face, and I will take care of all of your wants, needs and desires,” says the Lord. The Lord says, “There is no want to those who fear and trust in Me,” says the Lord.
