Folks, I want to talk about a very controversial topic. I am not sure, but I think that a while back, I had posted a debate on here given by Pastors Shane Idleman and Stan Mitchell on the topic of Homosexuality. I decided today to listen to an Ask Andrew video on the same topic. For years, (my legalistic, judgmental side kicking in) I missinterpreted Scripture to mean that Homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God. In a sense, this is correct. If you are not ignorant in sin, God will not pardon you in any sin, not just Homosexuallity, if you don’t repent sooner or later. However, Paul says about his murdering the Christians that he was “ignorant in unbelief.” This by no means is a license to sin, but to allow the Grace of Almight God to reign down upon your life to change; for changed is possible. I have some confesssions to make as to why I post this:
(1) I love you with all my heart and with God’s love. I want every person that reads these to go to Heaven saying, “I have lived the life that Christ died for me to live.” Ultimately, I’m not here to judge you or say you are going to Hell if you are a homosexual who happens to read this. Don’t take this wrong. I want to help everyone help Christ get what He died for.
(2) I love the critical person reading this post. Pastor Shane Idleman believes that all of it is black and white. However, we have to give people room for ignorance. As you will see, Andrew Wommack by no means allows for room to sin; in fact he’s adamantly against the practice of homosexuality. However, we must learn through the Holy Spirit to be able to minister to the homosexual in a way that Christ Jesus would.
(3) We’re all still learning. Stan Mitchell was right in some respects on that debate except he believes that we should encourage people in their sin, which is never the case. However, we must prayerfully consider the interpretation of the Scriptures that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit understand for They wrote the Scriptures. God bless! Enjoy this video and I hope that you will have received some interesting insights from this post and video:
P.S. I don’t want any person taking my word or the word of Andrew Wommack on this. Your mind will possibly get confused, but I don’t ask anyway like this is a suggestion. By the authority of Scripture, I am commanding you to dig into the Scriptures to see if these things are from the Holy Spirit or from a spirit masquerading as the Holy Spirit.
The following Scripture applies to ministers, but in order to get by as Christians, we must do the sermon-presaring work of a minister.
“Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 AMP
