Prayer Blog: The Equality Act

I want to talk to you today about some recent news that we must address this day. There will be a Prayerful Thursday blog coming up this week, but I will be ending those after the remainder of the blogs I’ve scheduled to come out are released, due to the fact that news happens every day that demands our prayerful action and attention.

I will be sharing some articles today about The Equality Act which the House passed both during the Trump Administration and now. During Trump’s term, the Senate didn’t even dare hear arguments concerning this act. However, the tides have changed. Our first article is today’s Give Him 15 from Dutch Sheets called The Equality Act – Legislating Immorality. Beyond how Dutch instructs us to pray, I would advise you to pray and ask the Father for explicit instructions for spiritual warfare strategies concerning this legislation. We are “the conscience of the state,” as Pastor Shane Idleman says. However, we are also Christ’s legislative assembly:

I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this truth of who I am will be the bedrock foundation foundation on which I will build my church–my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it (Matthew 16:18, TPT). Therefore, this means that if we battle in the Spirit concerning this, this nation’s leaders will have no choice upon the penalty of God’s judgment to adhere to the true government, the Church of Jesus Christ. If you believe that this act is about equality and have read its text, during your prayer time, ask the Lord if your view is correct, but I’m telling you right now: You are not going to hear from Him what you want to hear.

I now want to share with you a broadcast which features Tim Green, Abby Johnson and an interview from CPAC, which is happening at this time (I cannot remember the interviewer’s name). If you read the title and see that it is from The Victory Channel and you have some form of bitterness about Kenneth Copeland over what he called someone or his actions, stop right now in Jesus’ name and pray. God tells us to forgive and to adhere to His voice concerning whether people are true teachers of Jesus Christ or not and God says in Psalms that those that love His law are not easy to offend (Psalms 119:165). God bless!

My name is Patelin Cogswell. I was born on September 24, 1998. I was born in Oklahoma City. I went to Oklahoma School for the Blind and graduated in 2017. I am called as a Minister of the Gospel and an Intercessor. However, this is not about me. My life is dedicated to making Christ alone. This blog was called because I didn’t want my name on the blog like others do because I feel like it is not me living but Christ living through me.
