The Truth About Abortion And Human Life, Part 40: Just Pray About It

I want to take us on a road trip, so to speak. This trip will consist of reading an article, seeing a teen’s response to the article and my thoughts afterward. I will also in writing my thoughts post some other resources where needed. I want to ask you all today to invite the Holy Spirit in your room before continuing reading this blog, because His promptings will be needed.

What Article?

The article that the teen talks about in the video we’ll get to in a minute discuses gifts that a person can give to someone who has just had an abortion. To read the full article (I want us to get to know everything that is being said so we’re informed ourvs), click here. The Voice-Over feature on my iPhone (for those that are new here, I’m legally bl),wouldn’t let me read the full article. Now, here was the response which Students For Life records.

My Thoughts

The blog you are reading is a call to prayer and fasting. Each of us are also to ask the Spirit when this fast will start and end and how to do it because I know that some, having diabetes and other ailments either whose medicines you have to take and you need to eat with or just the ailment itself may prevent you from getting to go a whole day without the consumption of food. I also want us to be more dependent on The Spirit, and not always your leaders, rather they be Pastors, Bishops, Priests, Church Councils, etc. I say this because even I who have more and more responsibility as a leader every day don’t know everything. My Pastors are still learning just like I am, and I mean this with absolutely no disrespect to my or your leaders or my calling that the Lord has placed on me. The reason why I think we need to pray and fast is because there are differences of oppinion. The Abolitionists believe that the act of abortion must be completely abolished and that we should defy Roe, and from the words of the Supreme Court’s own website (this article does not explicitly talk about the Roe v. Wade decision), here’s why. From their own website and for a biblical view for Christians, here is the reason from their point of view. The pro-lifers at our core, believe the same thing. However, at this link, (at least the interview that is shown at the first link presented on the page), it seems we advocate for what is not our core conviction. I was going to say that we should pray about which side to be on, but perhaps we should ask the Father in what ways we should join together with the abolitionists as Christians. What I’d advise is that if you call yourself a pro-life follower of Christ, we should use both the Bible and science. If it is true what the abolitionists say in their site, that our prolife actions (at least), are derived from secular pro-lifers, as Christians, we must repent and return to our first love during this time of fasting and prayer I am calling for. Perhaps in your core, you say, “I don’t compromise on abortion.” Maybe I’m writing to some former abortion workers. Great! However (and I say this not knowing your heart but just that we have things to consider), we cannot let experience trump the Word of God. Speaking of which, I know that many of you (Abby Johnson being an example) have a zero-tollerance policy on compromise concerning abortion, even going so far as to quitting those shopping trips to a favorite store you used to go to because they donate to Planned Parenthood. Knowing this movement personally, I know that the assertion by the abolitionists is incorrect when they say that people get the idea that they can abort their child because it doesn’t feel pain from one of our pro-life laws (although I don’t deny it possibly could have happened). However, these women (some of whom may be reading this right now), get their information from Planned Parenthood and sister educators online or elsewhere. My point is that we need to examine our hearts and start voting not “our conscience,” but as Wanda Alger said one time in a sermon, we must “vote our values.” This means that if we really believe that abortion is murder, we shouldn’t just vote to defund Planned Parenthood, but we should totally eradicate abortion from our state (whatever that may be). God bless!

Updated February 10, 2021: What I mean by going back to our first love is, “Let’s make sure our activism is prophetic in nature–that we do everything out of our intimacy with the Father.” I understand that sometimes I can be a little more hard than I need to be, so just pray and fast concerning what I’m saying, because the Spirit is always a lot more effective in saying things in a way that is the way God would say it–not to hard and not to soft. Concerning teachings on how to contend in prayer for awakening on a broader scale, click here. Also go to your local bookstore (if you watch the series) and pick up Jennifer LeClaire’s book called The Next Great Move Of God: An Appeal To Heaven For Spiritual Awakening. I’ve read it already 2 times and highly recommend it.

Updated at 12:49 P.M. Pacific Standard Time: After much talk with Grandpa today and having some alone time with the Lord, the Lord reminded me of what I heard Yesterday listening to this podcast for the second time, where they talk about unfollowing 5 people on Social Media. Abby Johnson highlights how you can read or hear something that may cause you to question where God has put you and doubt it, and whatever that thing is (not that the person’s content is bad), you need to unfollow. I believe that this on a broader scale can apply to anything: Social Media, Email Newsletters, etc. So, as of now, I still support the abolitionist movement because of the fact that we both want the same thing: to end abortion. However, I will no longer follow their content due to the judgmental ways in which they present it.

This blog was called kingdomadvance.family.blog because I didn’t want my name on the blog like others do because I feel like it is not me living but Christ living through me.
