New Age Deception, Part 23

Welcome again to New Age Deception. Today, I’d like to take a break from the topic of Witchcraft and discuss Yoga.

1. Introduction: What is Yoga?

4. But wait! I can feel Jesus on the mat? What about that?

One day, I was watching The 700 Club. They had a clip where a Yoga Instructor said she feels close to Jesus on the mat. If she and others are using the same poses as the Hindus use, here’s what I say to that:

“That doesn’t surprise us, for even Satan transforms himself to appear as an angel of light!”

2 Corinthians 11:14 TPT

Maybe this is like such things as Screamo which some young people of today like. Perhaps, certain Christians redeem Yoga so that anyone who likes to do it will be drawn in. I’m beginning to wonder though if we aren’t doing a disservice to the Gospel. Jesus never did this with the sinner. Yeah! He was loving to them but He never let them feel comfortable in their sin. Make no mistake about it. Yoga is idolatry whichever way you want to look at it. There seems to be a proverb floating around: If it feels good, it must be God. If it doesn’t it’s of the enemy. I won’t get into the details here, but I used to think the same thing. The Lord showed me that I was sorely mistaken. Think about how it is easier to find a Yoga studio in the U.S. There’s one on every corner. However, for us Christians, there are some commands in the Scriptures we must follow.

5. God’s Instructions To His People

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.”

Romans 12:1-2 TPT

https://www.bible.com/1849/rom.12.1-2.tpt

“Don’t continue to team up with unbelievers in mismatched alliances, for what partnership is there between righteousness and rebellion? Who could mingle light with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Satan? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What friendship does God’s temple have with demons? For indeed, we are the temple of the living God, just as God has said: I will make my home in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. For this reason, “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Touch nothing that is unclean, and I will embrace you. I will be a true Father to you, and you will be my beloved sons and daughters,” says the Lord Yahweh Almighty.”

6. Salvation: Is there anyone reading today that has yet to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior or wants to rededicate their lives to Him? Here’s how:

7. Welcome home!

For those of you that have come to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, welcome home! For those that have backslidden and returned, welcome back home! Now that you have made the decision to come to the family, you need to find a local Church community that can disciple you in your walk. Again, if you are in the OKC area, you can go to 2101 NW 16 and attend Preach Unto Them con30 P.M. Or, you can attend The Parish at the same facility at 10:15 A.M. Preach holds their services at the north building. To learn more about The Parish, go to http://www.theparishokc.com and look around.

8. Parting Words

“The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; The Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace (tranquility of heart and life continually).”

Thank you again for reading this blog. I know that today’s was a little harder than usual, but sometimes it is needed. I am thankful in advance for the fruit it will produce. Don’t take what I’m saying as condemnation. Just sit with the Lord on it and ask Him to help you to improve in your life. I don’t intend to offend anyone or make anyone feel defeated. However, I do intend to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its purity. Please be sure to leave your feedback. How has this and other blogs blessed you? God bless!

Edited: One last thing. I forgot to post an article which gives us an alternative. Here you go:

My name is Patelin Cogswell. I was born on September 24, 1998. I was born in Oklahoma City. I went to Oklahoma School for the Blind and graduated in 2017. I am called as a Minister of the Gospel and an Intercessor. However, this is not about me. My life is dedicated to making Christ alone. This blog was called kingdomadvance.family.blog because I didn’t want my name on the blog like others do because I feel like it is not me living but Christ living through me.
