Welcome to Testimony Tuesday. Today, I’d like to tell my testimony. I once was 270 lb but now am 189. I am not here to brag about my weight loss or health accomplishments but rather to tell you of how I got there.
Borderline Diabetic
One day, I went to my Pediatric Indocrinologist, Dr. George. He told me that I was borderline diabetic. Well, my journey to health didn’t really begin (I knew I needed to change but didn’t know how). However in due time, after I moved in with Grandma, the little things would be removed that were present with Mom and school.
HEADACHES
In school, I would at times be sent home as a day student at Parkview School for the Blind for a headache. When I graduated, I read this book called The Bible Cure for Headaches, which I highly recommend:
The Bible Cure for Headaches: Colbert MD, Don: 9780884196822: Amazon.com: Books
Dr. Colbert in this book told us to write out a prayer, surrendering our health pertaining to headaches to the Lord. Slowly but surely, more and more things would be eliminated that would be a bad health concern.
Stomach Pain
One day, I discovered that I was having chronic Stomach pains. I did the usual stuff you’d do if you had a bug. I had regular Sprite. I had diet Sprite. I would gain weight due to the excess pop I drank. The pains never got better. I also started taking Apple Sider Vinegar. It would make it worse. I would take Pepto 2-3 times a day. REAL BAD! I was even eating Activia Yogurt, which I was eating before discovering the pain.
Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural!
One day, I was watching an interview with Henry Wrright. He was not a Doctor, rather, a Pastor. However, he and his team are cutting edge in medicine. I won’t go into the details due to the lack of space. However, I do recommend their website, which you can use to subscribe to blogs and get even more than the book:
Discover Healing In God For Your Spirit, Soul, And Body – Be in Health
Also the book:
The book explains things about how too much of a certain Vitamin is bad for you. So, Grandma and I were able to discover and remove Millograms of Vitamins which I was taking too much of. That didn’t work. I still had the pain. Finally, I went to a new Doctor at OU Physicians. We ran tests. He thought it was Kidney Stones. Nope! We went to a Gastrointinologist (or however you spell that). My new Adult Indocrinologist referred us to him. He did an Ultrasound on my Stomach. It wasn’t until we went to a new one that she told us of tests that showed Gallstones in my Gallbladder.
Gallstones
Throughout all of this, I was doing research constantly. Finally discovering the true cause, I had something.
So, I found out the unanimous verdict as to what helps (or shd). I’m sure you have read or heard plenty of that. So, due to lack of space and for this reason, I will not go into the details. Over time, after several bouts of sleeplessness and painful nights, my back and belly both hurting, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I discovered that Fruits and Vegtables would ease the pain and if done long enough, would cause it to altogether leave. There were a lot of things that I discovered hurt my stomach I.E. sweets, foods (which, when talking with others, Grandma says we should definitely avoid; lest we face those sleepless nights of bad pain), most bread (Bagel Bights don’t), Eggs, Bacon, and I’m sure the’s more but I can’t remember at the moment. So, as of now, I am eating a mainly fruit-and-vegtable diet, with very little meats (it’s Summer, so it might be different than now come winter, however it will be close to this Summer’s diet). I sometimes still have times when I crave sweets and eat them, but as of today (August 27, 2020), never again.
Conclusion
Sorry that this is so long. My final thoughts are more specifically for the Gallstone sufferer, but perhaps, it may help you to in your suffering.
So, I encourage you to put away your research. Grandma talked with other Gallstone sufferers in our family (or at least they had Gallbladder problems and had it taken ou) and one of their Doctors said they really can’t tell what causes Gallbladder attacks. Surrender your health to our Lord. Write a food diary or whatever helps you. For me, it was eating something 3 times, sometimes only 2. If it hurt my stomach all 2-3 times, then I cut that thing out of my diet. God bless! Oh, and please comment how this testimony has helped you with your health issues.
Patelin, my husband and I have had many health issues, but we give them to the Lord, we have been blessed by following the Maker’s diet, also called the Daniel diet, we choose to live enjoying things we know won’t make us sick rather than whine about things we “can’t have” as so many do. Our bodies are God’s temple and our hearts are ready and willing to serve HIM, praising Him for each day He gives us.
