Are You Ready

The following blog is from a post on Facebook that a friend of mine posted. Warning: This will bring conviction from on high to see where you are at with God, but I know that this is a must read for every believer who is making themselves ready for the wedding feast. Are you ready?

Yesterday a friend of mine had a dream and I want to share it with you…..

She dreamed that she was preparing for a big wedding with a group of people. She was busy helping the others and, because she is generous, she purchased the dresses for the bridesmaids.

Then the wedding started and she looked down to see that she had on cutoff jean shorts and a tee-shirt. The Head Groom came over and asked her, “Where is your dress for the wedding”? She said, “I spent all my money purchasing the dresses for the bridesmaids and I don’t have any money left for mine.” The Head Groom then told her she could not come to the Wedding.

Yikes!

11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment.

12 So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

13 Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” (Matt 24:11-14)

My friend is a Born Again Believer who loves Jesus. She is baptized in the Holy Spirit. She prays in Tongues and she is Prophetic. She also has the gift of Helps and feeds the hungry. So what’s the deal?

Only those who have prepared themselves with the oil of the Holy Spirit will go into the Wedding Feast.

25 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,

4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’

12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ (Matt 25:1-12)

It doesn’t matter how many people we help if it was not inspired by the Holy Spirit. What matters is our own PERSONAL and INTIMATE relationship with the Lord.

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matt7:20-23)

This dream is a warning to us all. We need to repent from our “dead works” and seek the oil of the Holy Spirit. Time is short and only those who have prepared themselves will be allowed into the Wedding Feast.

My friend took this as a warning and will be spending time alone with Jesus in her prayer closet as we approach Pentecost. She gave me permission to share this dream.
