If there are any people who follow me who read the King James Bible and claim that it is the only preserved version, this is one reason why lovingly I believe you need to rethink your theology. In Revelation 2:9 where it talks about these people that claim to be Jews and are not but are of the “synagogue of Satan,” as you will see, this is a poor translation and has been the cause for lots of evil against the Jews. Here’s The Passion Translation’s version which I believe is correct:
“I am aware of all the painful difficulties you have passed through and your financial hardships, even though, in fact, you possess rich treasure. And I am fully aware of the slander that has come against you from those who claim to be Jews but are not, for they are a satanic congregation.”
