How to Study Better
1. Study for 25-50 minutes and then get your blood flowing!
2. Get a good 6-8 hours of sleep that night that you study. In a 2-hour window, your brain will replay what you just learned and you will remember it the next day.
3. Take notes in class. You are engaging your brain when you actually write the notes yourself and don’t copy and paste them from your classmates notes!
4. Clear your mind of all distractions and then move on to studying!
5. The Keyword technique: If your mind starts to drift, focus it on a keyword you are reading on the text until you’re focused on the text.
6. Learn the most important things first!
7. Look at the back of your book and familiarize yourself with those vocabulary words!
8. Get some gum and chew that gum while studying! Then when taking a test, chew that same flavored gum!
9. Trick your brain into thinking that what you’re reading is a plot to a movie script or TV show!
10. The mind palace: Stand in the doorway of each room in your home, memorize 10 items in the room and take the information learned and visualize it around the room–classroom or rooms in home.
